01 / SERVICEWhen people needed help.
Jordon served as a United States Air Force Pararescueman, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. The work required preparation, judgment under pressure, and responsibility for people who needed help.
After military service, Jordon took part in nonprofit anti-human-trafficking operations in Uganda and Nepal. In March 2022, he led a team into Ukraine to help rescue and evacuate women and children.
He later commanded the Florida State Guard’s Special Missions Unit, responding to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. That work included leading a deployment to communities devastated by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina.
The circumstances were different, but the responsibility was consistent. Understand what is happening, prepare for the risks, and stay focused on the people who need help.
02 / BUSINESSBuild for the years ahead.
Years from now, you want to look back on a business that stayed strong and relationships that stayed intact. When you go into business with a friend or loved one, it can be easy to assume you share the same expectations. Those differences may only surface when money or a difficult decision is on the line.
Jordon founded Militia Fitness in 2009 and grew it from one location to four. Years of ownership and working with business partners taught him the value of uncovering those differences while the relationship is strong.
Asking a friend or loved one about money, responsibilities, or what happens if things change can feel uncomfortable. You may worry that raising the question will sound like a lack of trust. Working with an attorney makes those conversations part of the planning process. Jordon helps bring the questions into the open and work through them while the relationship is strong.
His approach is to look for the questions people may not think to ask. Who makes decisions? What does each person contribute? What happens if responsibilities change, or you need to ask a partner to step away? Working through those possibilities early helps turn assumptions into clear expectations.
Put that understanding in writing, and a difficult decision can begin with an agreed process. The purpose is to help your business keep moving and give the relationships behind it a stronger foundation.
